Q Theatre provided many challenges from the design outset to the intricate fabrication process required to achieve the modified golygon aesthetic and functional facade.

Amidst the urban jungle of Auckland's CBD, Cheshire Architects delivered a functional and aesthetic design that harmonised with its multitude of surroundings of historical brick buildings to modern high-rise architecture and everything in between, ultimately meeting the requirement to encompass the spirit of Auckland's CBD.

Nauhria delivered production excellence with the massive technical challenge of working with the multiple use moulds while maintaining the flow of the form profile from panel to panel including panel edges.

The concrete provided functional solution through the thick mass and concrete medium ultimately delivering acoustic excellence, keeping the spill of loud noise from Auckland City and the adjacent town hall organ out and vice-versa containing noise from the theatre within.

Q Theatre exemplifies concrete construction through full consideration and utilization of concretes full array of attributes and benefits.
