Summary:

The Wanaka Skate Park Trust first started the project to extend the existing skate Park in 2006. Following a long period of fundraising, tendering and design consultation, Premium Skate Park Designs was chosen based on experience, their fundamental skating knowledge and the pedigree of quality and finish their skate parks have become renowned for in New Zealand.

The existing skate park on the Pembroke Park site was of modular section design originally built in 2002. The construction method allowed movement between the modular sections such that considerable maintenance and repair has been required.

Premium Skate Park Designs commenced work in mid-November 2014, completing the Clover Bowl within a 12 week build time.
